Embarking on his first endeavour in Asia, Jun brings his distinctive cuisine to Salisterra at The Upper House.
Classically trained in French cuisine, Jun Tanaka began his culinary career at 19 working with acclaimed chefs at London’s renowned institutions including the Roux brothers at Le Gavroche, Nico Ladenis at Chez Nico, Phil Howard at The Square and Marco Pierre White.
He opened his first solo venture The Ninth in 2015, which has since won several awards including a Michelin star.
Chris Czerwinski joined The Upper House in 2018 after spending a 3-month adventure travelling through Japan, South Korea and the Chinese mainland to explore the food culture in the region.
Prior to this, he spent more than five years in London with the Gordon Ramsay Group, overseeing the kitchen of Maze Grill as Head Chef and Brand Ambassador.
